By plane : to Geneva (EasyJet/ British Airways), to Sion (Crossair/ Flybe during the winter).
By train : Geneva Sion (approximately two hours) and then one can take a bus.
Nendaz is 177 kms from Geneva , 297 kms from Zurich and 16 kms from Sion.
Location
Nendaz is located at an altitude of 1350 m and reaches up to 3300 m . It offers a panoramic view of the Barnese and Vaud Alps. This ski village covers an area of 8'611 hectares within which 2'000 hectares is forest, starting at the river Rhone and ends at the summit of Rosablanche.
The population of Nendaz all year round is 5,402 with Haute Nendaz counting for 1,900.
Eating and Drinking
Nendaz has a large selection of restaurants; 30 in the town itself and 5 high altitude ones. There are over 10 bars as well as several nightclubs.
Local Amenities

- 129 km of blue (easy) runs.
Snowboard
With its variety of pistes as well as its different levels of altitude and glaciers, Nendaz is ideal for snow boarding. The Neige Aventure Centre provides snowboarding classes for both individuals as well as groups. The centre is also able to help you with the maintenance of your snowboards.
Cross country skiing and racket walking trails
Nendaz offers over 70 kms of trails that are ideal for cross country skiing, racket walking and dog sleigh excursions.
Walks
In the summer, it is possible to go on more than 250km of hiking trails. Visitors to the town often enjoy walking from the town plateau right up to the glaciers. A wonderful aspect of walking around the region of Nendaz is that the lifts are often open mid June until mid October so that people can walk at high altitudes without having to climb up the mountains first.
Activities
Nendaz is located 7 km away from Siviez, which is the centre of the 4 Valleys. This is often a popular place during the spring and summer as one can marvel at 50 mountain summits of over 4000m in a 360° panoramic view.
Nendaz is well situated as a base from which one can visit many of the surrounding sights such as the castles and museums in Sion and the underground lakes.
A whole variety of sports are available in Nendaz including; tennis, paragliding, swimming, training circuits and mountain biking among others.
