By train: Geneva to Sion (2 hours); from Sion one can take a bus or taxi to Anzere.

Located at an altitude of 1500 m , Anzere is south facing overlooking the Swiss Alps. The town of Anzere enjoys a Mediterranean microclimate. One can enjoy walking alongside beautiful lakes, fantastic skiing as well as a stunning landscape.
Anzere was previously called Antsere in the local dialect meaning un-spoilt prairie. Some of Anzere's mountain peak tower up to 4000m over the terrain. Anzere has been a ski resort since the early 1960's.
There is a wide choice of bars, pubs, and restaurants as well as creperies. There are also several restaurants on the ski slopes and of course après-ski bars!
There is a pharmacy, several supermarkets, some clothes shops as well as souvenirs shops, doctors, a hairdresser and much more.
There is a childcare facility, called La Garderie des Neiges in the pedestrian area of the village for children from 2 years old. The Garderie Naphtaline in Botyre (10 minutes drive) will be happy to take good care of children under the age of two.
Anzere has 22 ski lifts and over 40 kilometers of ski-slopes, located between 1500 and 2400 m . There is also a ski lift near the village for children and beginners.
There are 2 bobsleigh slopes, one of 3.1 kilometers which passes through forests, offering wonderful landscapes and the another of 2.5 kilometers on the Domaine des Rousses. There are sleighs available for rent in the village. Traditionally, every Tuesday evening a group ski down the slopes together, followed by a Gluhwein in the village.
There is a snow park for experienced snowboarders right on top of the Ecuries de Tsalan.
The 6-kilometer slope for cross-country skiers runs alongside pine trees and fields offering some breathtaking panoramic views. Snowshoe walking trails are organized with experienced guides covering an area of 15 kilometers .
There are courses for all types of sport-lovers: from individual to group courses, from beginners to professionals.
A variety of different walks are organized in order to enjoy even more the beautiful landscapes of Anzere. In the summertime, one can walk over 166 kms of footpaths.
Anzere is a town, which has retained many of its traditions such as the Course pédestre" (foot race). Almost 100 people work towards making this event an annual success on the third Saturday of July. The event is over 17kms and draws more than 800-foot racerunners and a lot of spectators.
There are many different facilities and activities during winter as well as summer. There are 2 swimming pools; one outdoor and one indoor. Anzere also has its own fitness centre and sauna
There is an 18-hole golf course in Sion and both a 9 hole and an 18-hole golf course in Crans-Montana, which are all within 20 kms.
In Saillon (approximately 30 minutes from Anzere) are the thermal waters, which include natural hot tubs overlooking the mountains to relax and regenerate the body.
With Anzere's beautiful lakes, people enjoy rambling, fishing and swimming. Other activities available in Anzere are tennis, mini golf, paragliding, rock climbing, 80 km of mountain bike trails, horse riding and many others.
